Mrs. Mimoza Mustafa

Mrs. Mimoza Mustafa is a lecturer at RIT Kosovo (A.U.K), with over 20 years of experience in teaching mathematics and statistics. With specialized education in Quantitative Finance (MSc) and Applied Mathematics (4-year program), she has made an impact on both the academia and the financial sector. Currently, she is engaged in doctoral studies in Interdisciplinary Statistics.

In addition to teaching, she has also built a career in the financial sector. With a rich experience, which includes important positions in (domestic and international) financial institutions, her contribution has been essential in shaping the industry. It is worth highlighting her work as a senior economist at the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo, where she made an important contribution to financial stability through innovative initiatives. She pioneered the development of the “stress-test” model for the banking sector of Kosovo, a key step in increasing the industry’s resilience. Furthermore, the construction of the framework for the compilation of Financial Stability Indicators (FSIs) has provided a vital tool for assessing the health and performance of the sector.

Her main professional interest remains the intersection of applied mathematics and finance, with a particular focus on financial stability and risk management. Her expertise, particularly in credit and liquidity risk, has earned her accolades and positioned her as an important player in the field. As a dedicated educator, she continues to inspire and shape the minds of students and future professionals, leaving a lasting legacy of knowledge and innovation.
