The delegation of KPST was initially hosted by the Social Insurance Institute of Albania (SII), headed by Mrs. Vjollca Braho, where a joint meeting between the SII, KPST and the management of the Kosovo Pension Administration was held. The heads of the SII and KPST discussed about potential future cooperation and drafting of a MoU between the two institutions. Furthermore, following the discussions and consents reached, the SII and Kosovo Pension Administration, at the end of the meeting, signed a cooperation agreement aimed at information sharing and approximation of legislation regarding the signing of a final agreement on recognition of contribution periods in Kosovo and Albania.
Afterwards, the representatives of KPST held a meeting with the Minister of Social Welfare and Youth, Mr. Erion Veliaj, and the Minister of Finances, Mr. Shkëlqim Cani. The meeting was of an informative nature, whereby both Ministers were informed with the background of the KPST and positive development it had undergone fourteen years after its establishment. The parties agreed on more frequent cooperation between KPST and pension institutions in the future, aimed at sharing experiences and helping in development of pension systems in their respective countries.
